Canadian sausages recalled on Listeria fears

Superior Sausage and Meat Products Ltd has recalled two sausage products suspected of being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The company, which raised the alarm through the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), said its Village Superior Sausage and Ham Sausage were suspected of being infected with the potentially deadly bug.

Products that were purchased from 1-8 December were under suspicion both from its on Toronto plant and that of Euromax Food in Milton. There have been no reported illnesses linked to consumption of the products which were distributed only in Ontario.
