The bottling group, which supplies a number of Coca-Cola brands around Europe and North America, says that Dasani will continue to be manufactured at 28 other sites across the US. Production capacity from the plant is expected to be shifted to other US-based factories owned by the drink maker, said a group spokesperson.
The group says that it will enter talks with the 17 people employed at the site, over their futures.
“[We] are consulting with their union representative to ensure the transition proceeds as smoothly as possible,” stated the company.
