For example, exports to into China rose 38.29 percent over the year, while exports to India were up 44.81 percent.
“The year-end numbers confirm U.S. packaging machinery manufacturers delivered despite rapidly changing global economic conditions,” said Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO, PMMI.
However, the slowdown in the domestic market began to affect imports, which rose by only 0.27 percent last year to reach $2bn.
