Recession causing consumers to change brands

Thirty-five percent of US consumers have started to change brands in order t save money, says a new report from HealthFocus International.

According to the report Grocery Buying in the Current Economy, 86.5 per cent of the people surveyed report being very nervous or somewhat nervous about the economy, and 33 percent of households have experienced drops in their income during the last six months.

As such, grocery buying habits, and brand loyalty, are changing. The new report explores how shoppers are reacting in difficult economic times.
