Energy, protein and fiber are key to new launches from Post Foods, Kellogg, and Muller Quaker Dairy this month.

First up is Post Foods, which has launched Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy in two flavors: Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolatey Almond Crunch.

Honey Bunches of Oats marketing director Derek Schwendinger said: “When it comes to breakfast, consumers are looking for options that provide protein, fiber and whole grain to satisfy their appetite and help reduce mid-morning hunger.”

Each one-cup serving provides 33-35g of whole grains, 5g of fiber and 10g of protein when combined with a half cup of fat free milk.

Kellogg: Protein and fiber

Next up is Kellogg, which has launched a new addition to its Nutri-Grain range: Fruit & Oat Harvest bars.

Containing fruit and whole grains, the bars come in two flavors  - Country Strawberry and Blueberry Bliss  - and contain 4g protein and 5g of fiber with less than 200 calories per bar.

"More and more people are seeking tasty wholesome breakfast choices that are easy to eat when they don't have the luxury of time," said Mary Busch, marketing director of Kellogg U.S. Snacks.

"Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Fruit & Oat Harvest cereal bars give those who are on-the-go a satisfying breakfast option that is both nutritious and sweet."

Muller Quaker Dairy: Healthy indulgence

Last but not least is Muller Quaker Dairy, which is launching several new additions to its range: Muller Dark Chocolate with cherry, raspberry and pecan granola clusters; plus two new Greek-style flavors with Blueberry and Peach.

Barbara Yehling, chief marketing officer, Muller Quaker Dairy, said: “We are dedicated to providing irresistible combinations that satisfy consumer's desire for great tasting food that they can still feel good about eating.”

A joint venture between PepsiCo and German dairy giant Theo Müller Group, Muller Quaker Dairy recently opened a $206m, 350,000+ square foot factory in Batavia, New York - one of the largest yogurt manufacturing plants in the US.

Its first three products in the US are Muller Corner (yogurt with a side compartment of toppings you add yourself), Muller Greek Corner, and Muller FrutUp (yogurt and fruit mousse).
