As the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos head into battle on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the nation’s biggest food and beverage brands will battle for supremacy during the commercial breaks.

Dannon Oikos: Getting steamy

Not to be outdone is rival Dannon, which first advertised at the Super Bowl in 2012, and has drafted in John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier – the cast of Full House - for its 2014 offering. At first it's sexy - then, well, less so …

SodaStream: Oh yeah, she done it (etc)

Fox banned Scarlett Johannson’s sexy SodaStream ad as it called out competitors by name, so the firm has promised to air an edited version for broadcast. However, the "uncensored" version below has already gone viral…

Pepsi: What else would you drink at halftime?

“Football isn't football without halftime and halftime isn't halftime without Pepsi…” So there you have it…

Coke: Chasing the dream?

Coke has released the first of its two Super Bowl spots, a 60-second ad - 'Going All the Way' - which, despite the racy title, is a wholesome tale of an underdog high school football player who overcomes the odds to score a touchdown…

General Mills: Time for breakfast (and, er babies)

Talking of wholesome, “When families eat breakfast together, amazing things can happen,” says General Mills, which has brought back the family from its ‘Just Checking’ ad for its 30-seconds at the Big Game…
