20 August 2012 – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Champ’s Mushroom are warning the public not to consume Sliced White Crimini Mushrooms or Sliced White Mushrooms because the produce may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
No illnesses have been reported in association with consumption of either product, the CFIA confirmed.
“The manufacturer, Champ’s Mushrooms, Aldergrove, BC, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall,” said a recall notice.
