Kraft exploits social media buzz of NASA Mars landing with Oreo campaign


Kraft Foods has posted an image of a red-centered Oreo on its social media pages to commemorate NASA’s rover landing on the surface of Mars earlier this week.

The latest stunt comes soon after Kraft posted a picture on the Oreo Facebook and Twitter fan pages of an Oreo in Rainbow colours in honour of gay pride. (See HERE )

The images form part of Kraft’s ‘Daily Twist’ social media campaign, which encourages consumers to suggest newsworthy topics to enter the ‘Oreo Moments Gallery’.

The campaign allows Kraft to promote Oreo in conjunction with trending topics of the day.

Previous images have included a Batman themed Oreo in conjunction with the recent release of The Dark Knight Rises film and various Olympic-themed pictures.
