Kellogg’s invests $35m in Michigan food research centre

26-Nov-2008

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has announced that it will invest $35 million in a new development in Battle Creek, Michigan.

The development will include a new six-storey office building for The Kellogg Company, and will establish a food sciences and food protection research centre.

The company already has a headquarters in Battle Creek, but the new development will allow it to move 600 staff to the new downtown location.

The project is in collaboration with local economic development company Battle Creek Unlimited and is expected to total $86 million.

The regeneration project is due to be completed by late 2010.
