Nestle plans Russian coffee expansion

24-Oct-2008

Nestle has announced it intentions to extend state-of-the-art coffee production at one of its Russian plants as part of a proposed €160m investment in freeze-dry technology.

The company says it has signed a letter of intent to significantly increase capacity at the site in Timashevsk, in order to cater for demand for higher quality coffee products.

In its current capacity, the plant produces Nestle’s soluble coffee mixes and Nescafe branded products, amounting to 27,000 tonnes of finished products in 2007.
