Foot and mouth disease update

Twenty-two new cases were confirmed on March 11 in Powys, in Devon 4 cases , Cumbria 8 cases, Worsestershire, Derbyshire,Dumfries and Galloway 2 cases, Gloucestershire, Tyne and Wear, Co. Durham 2 cases and Herefordshire.

This brings the total confirmed cases in Great Britain to 163; 39 in Cumbria, 25 in Devon, 22 in Dumfries & Galloway, 12 in County Durham, 10 in Tyne and Wear, 8 in Essex, 6 in Hereford, 4 in Gwynedd, 5 in Derbyshire, 5 in Worcestershire, 3 in Lancashire, 3 in Wiltshire, 4 in Powys, 3 in Staffordshire, 2 in Leicestershire, 2 in Cornwall, 1 in Northampton, 1 in Warwickshire, 1in Oxfordshire, 1 in North Yorkshire, 1 in West Yorkshire, 1 in Berkshire, 1 in Somerset, 1 in Gloucestershire and 1 in Kent.

There is also 1 confirmed case in Northern Ireland.
