At the Spring NOSB meeting held April 25-27, the board considered materials currently on the National List of allowable non-organic materials which will expire in 2018, and it voted on 12 proposals – seven of which passed, two which failed and three that were tabled.
While the recommendations from NOSB to the National Organic Program hold substantial weight, they are non-binding and should not be considered final until USDA or NOP makes a move.
