Archer Daniel Midlands (ADM) has said it is now the 100 percent owner of Golden Peanut Company after it acquired all outstanding stock from Alimenta (USA), from Alimenta S.A, an international trading company based in Switzerland.
Alimenta (USA) had been ADM’s 50 percent partner in Golden Peanut Company, a peanut and peanut ingredient processor and exporter based in Alpharetta, Georgia.
ADM senior executive vice president, Performance and Growth, Steve Mills said: “Golden Peanut Company has a strong and diverse customer base. With well-positioned assets, strong customer relationships and an experienced management team, we believe Golden Peanut Company will realize profitable growth in the future. ADM has agreed not to use the Alimenta name as part of the deal, the company said.
