Barry Callebaut, the world’s largest producer of cocoa and chocolate products, has appointed David S. Johnson as president and CEO of its Americas division.
The company said that Johnson will take the post on May 1, taking over from Massimo Garavaglia, who will return to Europe after the completion of a three-year contract. She is due to take over as president of the Western Europe division on June 1.
Prior to his appointment, Johnson was CEO of Michael Foods, a $1.5bn food processor and distributor. Before Michael Foods, Johnson was with Kraft Foods for more than 20 years, where his last position was president of North America and corporate officer for Kraft Foods Global.
