Danisco has announced global price increases of 5 to 15% for its Grindsted range of hydrocolloids, which will be effective from 1 November this year.
The company said that while it continues its strong focus on productivity and cost reduction programmes, these have “unfortunately not been able to mitigate the rising raw material, energy and logistic costs seen across all its hydrocolloid product lines.”
Danisco‘s hydrocolloid range includes alginate, carrageenan, cellulose gum (CMC), guar gum, locust bean gum, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), pectin and xanthan gum.
