In an interview with FoodNavigator-USA.com, Dr. Luke Zhang explains why he thinks the future looks sweet for stevia - and for his company, GLG Life Tech, one of the world's major stevia suppliers.

Dr. Luke comes from a line of doctors and pharmacologists, so when he found out about stevia, he saw an opportunity to help tackle modern health problems like diabetes and obesity - as well as a sound business opportunity.

Eleven years after he set up GLG Life Tech, the company's extensive research and development is beginning to pay off, with its stevia-derived, zero-calorie sweeteners increasingly finding their way into new food and beverage products around the world.
