The data, taken from a National Consumer Survey, detailed the most widely consumed brands across all categories in the US market.
Reynolds Aluminum foil topped the poll with 77% of US consumers claiming to use the product.
Hershey came in at number six with 64% of people purchasing goods from the US confectionery leader.
Mars was the only other chocolate firm to feature in the top 10 with 59% of consumers buying its products, putting it in tenth place.
General Mills, Frito Lay, Campbell’s and Kellogg were others featuring in a top 10 dominated by food companies.
