The mid-range proposition reminds of the detergents with fabric softener in the late 80s. There were those that wanted detergency above all and those who wanted a lot of softness and fragrance. This ended up satisfying no one. Looks a good choice for consumers who can't make up their minds. I am not that sure whether this "neutrality" can make a real dent.
