Food is a personal choice
Food choice is not the food industry's responsibility. It is an individual choice and an individual responsibility. To imply that the food industry is responsible for obesity is to imply that the consumer is not intelligent enough to make his/her own responsible choices.
The food industry should make every attempt to be responsible in labeling and safety and, as reasonably as possible, in offering relatively nutritious fare. Ultimately, however, the consumer is responsible for what he/she buys -- like it or not.
