Soy is a food allergen
Soy is a serious food allergen for many children, and soy milk is most likely made from GMO soybeans. Soy is also a goitrogen and can be harmful for the thyroid, in many people. Soy milk usually contains corn-derived additives, and can cause reactions in children with corn allergy. Soy milk should not be a replacement for real milk. And children should not be made to drink it, if it may be harmful to their health. Common sense needs to be used, but it very rarely is a factor.
