Report shows: People consume more calories and less FAT and they get fatter

Original report http://www.ers.usda.gov/publications/eib-economic-information-bulletin/eib105.aspx (why newspapers never link to their source is beyond me)

Read the original paper and you will find:

People consume MORE calories (from carbs and protein) and LESS Fat and they get fatter.

1) Fat and saturated fats do not make you fat. Carbs and carbs alone, not fat, favour body fat accumulation.

3) This report is based on SURVEYS not actual observation.

4) Calories Mean: 1977: 1875 / 2005: 2002
