Latest WhiteHouse.gov GMO labeling petition

Text from the petition:

Mandatory labeling of foods containing genetically modified organisms, GMOs. It's our right to make informed decisions.
I have the right to know that the food I buy contains genetically engineered ingredients or genetically modified organisms, GMOs, and so do you.

I am a "food citizen" who has thankfully been given the opportunity to voice my opinion directly to the President of the United States and am petitioning this administration to take the necessary measures to ensure that GMO labeling will happen.

Since two other petitions surpassed the necessary 25,000 signatures and were not given a response, this is another attempt to achieve that.

“....We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and efffectiveness in government.” - President Barack Obama
