Cost-effectiveness of natural products gets NHRI spotlight

How natural products can be cost-effective in the face of health care reform will go under the spotlight at the 5th Annual Natural Health Research Institute (NHRI) Scientific Symposium.

The conference is divided into two sections, the first with the focus: “Natural Products: Cost Effectiveness and Safety of Dietary Supplements”. The speakers include John Hathcock, PhD, Todd R. Callaway, PhD, Paul M. Coates, PhD, Michael A. Morton, PhD, Russ Jaffe, MD, PhD. Ron Watson, PhD, the session's chair, will also discussion the cost benefits of Pycnogenol with respect to diabetes and heart disease.

The afternoon session is headlined by Bruce Ames, PhD, who will be presenting a keynote address on the topic: “Evidence of Antioxidant Need, Safety and Efficacy”​.
