Tesco: Pastel shades, plenty of numbers, and no traffic lights or points
Food retail giant Tesco, which has almost a third of the UK grocery market and operates in 13 other countries (including the US via its Fresh & Easy estate), has opted for a Guideline-Daily-Amount (GDA) FOP scheme, which closely matches the US Facts up Front approach.
Rejecting the red, amber and green ‘traffic’ light colors adopted by rivals Waitrose, Asda and Sainsbury, Tesco has instead opted for neutral pastel shades on its labels.
