The meat packer and distributor, Master Purveyors, has seen an increase in staff production and a reduction in theft since installing surveillance hardware and software at their Florida site.

Master Purveyors is a family owned business and has operated their in-house processing facility that cuts, trims and packs meats to order, for more than 50 years.

Shawn McCranie, vice president of Master Purveyors, said: “We have definitely seen more money added to our bottom line and have experienced a clear return on investment through less product theft since adding the Mobile Cam Viewer.”

The Mobile Cam Viewer was added to an existing six-camera security-system, which allowed surveillance to reach beyond the desktop, as the cameras can be monitored by portable devices.

McCranie said: “The security system is a necessity for meat processing facilities as part of the federal government’s homeland security programme. I’m not sure exactly how much we were losing, but my inventory suddenly got more accurate.

It means a lot when you have millions of dollars worth of product and equipment that you want to stay yours and working. The problems were solved immediately.”
