The US giant has renamed the product Quaker Popped and invested in new packaging with a different logo and brighter color scheme.
“It’s the same great taste with a new name and look to better represent the attributes of the product,” PepsiCo said.
The snacks are positioned as a healthy option; made from whole grain brown rice and corn and are popped not fried.
They are available in 14 different flavors including Cheddar Cheese and Apple Cinnamon. To coincide with the revamp PepsiCo has developed two new flavors – Chipotle Cheddar and Sweet & Salty Mix – for Wal-Mart.
