Belgian bakery, confectionery and chocolate ingredient supplier Puratos has announced that its production facilities and offices in New Jersey are now back up and fully operational.

The power supply to the company’s Cherry Hill and Pennsauken facilities were affected as Hurricane Sandy caused severe damage in New Jersey.

“Puratos production teams are working around the clock to catch up and meet every customer order in the system and to bring business back to normal as quickly as possible,” Karel Zimmermann President Puratos USA & Regional Director North America.

“I would like to thank our customers for working closely with us during the past week, and for their continued patience and understanding.

“Our thoughts and prayers also go out to the thousands people still affected by the storm, and the teams working day and night on the clean-up operation.”
