Nestlé recalls ravioli due to glass contamination

Nestlé Prepared Foods has recalled two production codes of a variety of ravioli distributed nationwide as they may contain fragments of glass.

The firm said three people had reported finding glass in the ravioli portion of its LEAN CUISINE Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli.

The production codes are affected are 2311587812 and 2312587812 and the best before date is DEC 2013.

Nestlé said the entrée was produced in early November 2012 and warned consumers to check their freezers for the product after announcing the recall.

We apologize to our retail customers and consumers and sincerely regret any inconvenience created by this voluntary product recall​,” said a company statement.
