All-change at Bunge North America
Next we switch to grains, oils and fats expert Bunge, which has appointed Todd Bastean to the position of CEO, Bunge North America, effective June 1.
Bastean, currently CFO at Bunge North America, succeeds Soren Schroder, who will become CEO of Bunge Limited on the same date.
Schroder will assume the role of CEO from Alberto Weisser, who recently announced his retirement after 15 years leading the company.
"Todd has been instrumental to Bunge North America's growth and success for nearly 20 years," said Alberto Weisser, chairman and CEO, Bunge Limited.
"He knows our North American business inside and out, having served as CFO, as a manager of key operations and in a variety of functional roles.”
George Allard is the new VP and general manager of Bunge North America’s oils business
Separately, Bunge North America announced that George Allard became vice president and general manager of its oils business on April 1.
Allard replaces Rodney Perry who is transferring to Bunge's European office as vice president, food and ingredients for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
"George is a proven leader with a track record of success in expanding our operations in the food and ingredients segment," said Soren Schroder, president and CEO, Bunge North America.
