PepsiCo appoints Omar Farid president, Middle East & Africa
Next we move to PepsiCo, which has appointed Omar Farid president of PepsiCo Middle East & Africa.
Farid, who reports to PepsiCo Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) CEO Sanjeev Chadha, was previously senior vice president and business unit general manager of GCC Beverages at PepsiCo and has relocated from Saudi Arabia to PepsiCo's Dubai HQ for his new role.
Chadha said: "Omar brings unparalleled breadth and depth of experience to his new role. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held leadership positions in food and beverage businesses across the Middle East and Africa, and is one of PepsiCo's strongest franchise experts across the globe.
“His track record of strong, sustained and profitable business growth is a testimony to his passionate leadership and deep business knowledge."
Farid, who began his career at PepsiCo in 1983 as a senior field representative in Egypt and has since held a variety of leadership positions in multiple regions, said: "The Middle East is one of the strongest performing regions globally for PepsiCo.”
