Sodium reduction targets
While there are no indications that the FDA is contemplating bold action on the sodium reduction front in 2014, the fact that intakes remain so high - click here - suggests firms would be wise to keep their feet on the reformulation pedal for now, as the agency told us earlier this year that it is “considering possibilities such as voluntary targets for sodium reduction in foods”.
