PepsiCo appoints D.Shivakumar as CEO of the India region
Our next new hire is at PepsiCo, which has appointed former Nokia executive D Shivakumar as its chairman and CEO for the India region, a position that has been vacant since the departure of Manu Anand in June.
Shivakumar – who was managing director at Nokia India before taking over as the handset maker’s senior vice-president for India, Middle East and Africa in 2011 – has “a proven ability to take billion-dollar businesses to the next level by maximizing innovation, execution and collaboration", said PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi.
Separately, Gautham Mukkavilli, currently general manager of PepsiCo’s beverages business in India, has been promoted to senior vice-president, business transformation, for the Asia-Middle East-Africa (AMEA) region.
