The investors on reality TV show Shark Tank did not bite when Cow Wow CEO Chris Pouy appeared on the show (in his cow suit) in January plugging his 'milk that tastes like what's left at the bottom of the cereal bowl'.
But all PR is good PR, insists Pouy: "You win just by being on the show, period... Seven million people watch Shark Tank and there’s no ad campaign more valuable than 9 minutes on national television talking about your product... while wearing a cow suit."
Besides, it seems he has had the last laugh. "Sales have quadrupled since we were on the show," he told us. "We've just gone national in Kroger and we've been contacted by several Walmart brokers."
His message is simple: Cow Wow tastes great, it's got less sugar than other flavored milks (6g added organic cane sugar per 8-oz pack), and it contains only natural flavors.
