Powerful Yogurt rollouts draw on protein’s appeal
Leveraging the seemingly infallible appeal of high-protein F&B products, Powerful Yogurt unveiled two new product lines: Powerful Yogurt Protein Bars and Powerful Yogurt Plus+ targeting the active lifestyle consumer segment.
The Powerful Yogurt Protein Bar is formulated with a yogurt coating and Ganeden BC30 probiotics (which is sturdy enough to withstand the extrusion and baking processes). Each bar features 20 grams of protein and low sugar (4 grams) and calorie profiles. Available flavors include yogurt creme, peanut butter and chocolate coconut. The bars are also gluten free, Kosher and contain non-GMO ingredients.
The Powerful Yogurt Plus+ line of Greek yogurts adds hearty whole grains to the company's signature high protein Greek yogurt. Powerful Yogurt PLUS+ has 21 grams of natural protein per 8 oz. serving and will be available immediately in flavors including coconut + quinoa, tropical fruit + oats, and lemon + chia. The product line is low fat, gluten free, Kosher and contains non-GMO ingredients.
A recent IRI report pinpointed portable satiation, the quest for healthier snacks and the desire for variety as a response to the economic downturn as the three trends driving the success of yogurt products. And yet, CEO and founder Carlos Ramirez claims that yogurt is “just the beginning” for the year-old brand.
