NOW Health Group CEO Al Powers to retire; Jim Emme to take the helm
Next we move to family-owned natural products firm NOW Health Group (NHG), which has appointed NOW Foods president Jim Emme as group CEO of NOW Health Group following the retirement of Al Powers.
NHG comprises Puresource, Canada’s leading national distributor and manufacturer of natural health products; The Fruitful Yield, a chain of 11 natural food stores in the Chicagoland area; and NOW Foods, which manufactures more than 1,400 dietary supplements, foods, sports nutrition and personal care products.
Since joining NOW in 1974, Powers has been actively involved in health food retailing and defending the nutrition industry, growing the NOW brand, and working with industry trade associations.
Emme (pictured above) has been with the company since 1995.
