Icelandic Glacial Natural Spring Water names Reza Mirza as CEO of its North American operations
Next we head to Icelandic Water Holdings, maker of ‘carbon neutral’ natural spring water Icelandic Glacial, which has appointed Reza Mirza as CEO of its North American operations.
Reza - who was formerly president at Activate Drinks and has held management positions at Nestle Waters North America and Colgate-Palmolive - said: “I see the opportunity to build Icelandic Glacial into a megabrand in North America through increased distribution, strong marketing and innovation.”
Sourced and bottled in Ölfus, Iceland, Icelandic Glacial claims to be the world’s first certified CarbonNeutral natural spring bottled water for both product and operations.
The firm, which uses geothermal and hydroelectric power to fuel production, sources its water from the Ölfus Spring, a naturally replenished catchment zone formed during a massive volcanic eruption more than 5,000 years ago.
The water - which is distributed in the US by Anheuser-Busch (which owns a 20% stake) - has a naturally-occurring low mineral content and naturally high pH level of 8.4.
