Coca-Cola promotes Wendy Clark and Katie Bayne to top marketing roles
First we head to Coca-Cola, which has promoted its Global Sparkling Brands Center senior vice president Wendy Clark (pictured above) to the role of president of sparkling & strategic marketing, Coca-Cola North America, effective June 1.
She will be replaced by Katie Bayne (left), who is currently president, North America Brands, and recently launched the firm’s Sochi Olympic and Big Game advertising campaigns, including “It’s Beautiful.”
Clark will report to Sandy Douglas, global chief customer officer and president of Coca-Cola North America; while Bayne will report to Joe Tripodi, chief marketing and commercial officer.
According to a Coca-Cola memo, the new appointments "bolster our commitment to the advancement of women across our company and in our leadership pipeline."
It added: “During Wendy's tenure, The Coca-Cola Company launched its first-ever global mobile marketing campaign, and led the successful global launch of the Coca-Cola "Open Happiness" campaign, now deployed in markets representing 100% of Coca-Cola's volume.”
