ConAgra Foods, Cargill and CHS build Ardent Mills leadership team
We continue our gallery of new hires with new additions to the growing leadership team for the soon-to-be-created flour milling giant, Ardent Mills - a joint venture combining ConAgra Mills, Horizon Milling and producer-owned cooperative CHS.
Under the deal - which is expected to close in the second quarter - ConAgra and Cargill will each have a 44% stake in Ardent Mills, while CHS will own the remaining 12%. All three will have representatives on the board, while CHS will be among the new company’s wheat suppliers.
Ardent Mills - which will be based in Denver, Colorado - will be led by Horizon Milling President Dan Dye and joined by ConAgra Mills’ president Bill Stoufer as chief operating officer and chief integration officer.
The following individuals will report directly to Dye:
- Doug Barkema, general counsel.
- Brad Berentson, chief financial officer.
- Dean Grossmann, vice president and sales lead.
- Deon MacMillan, chief human resources officer.
- Mike Miller, vice president and risk management lead.
- Elizabeth Uriyo, vice president and research, quality and technical services lead.
- R. Michael Veal, vice president and marketing lead.
Those reporting directly to Stoufer include:
- Brad Allen, vice president and operations lead.
- Mary Ann Strombitski, communication lead.
- Jeff Schreiner, chief information officer.
- Jon Stuewe, Puerto Rico business lead.
- Buck VanNiejenhuis, Canada business lead.
- Jeff Zyskowski, vice president and supply chain lead.
