Next we move to flavors and fragrances specialist IFF, which has announced that Doug Tough will be stepping down as CEO on September 1, 2014, to be replaced by Andreas Fibig, a member of IFF’s board of directors since 2011.
Tough will continue to serve as chairman of the board after September 1 for a period to be determined.
Fibig joins IFF from Bayer, where he served as boss of its HealthCare Pharmaceuticals division. Prior to that he held senior roles at Pfizer, Pharmacia and Boehringer Ingelheim.
Tough said: "Andreas has led businesses with an international footprint similar to ours, has firsthand experience in key emerging markets where we see further opportunity, and understands the critical importance of science-based research in driving innovation and competitiveness."
