Eggs, minus the cholesterol
Those avoiding egg yolks for the cholesterol, fat and calories, also miss out on lutein for eye health, choline for brain health and omega-3 DHA for heart health, according to Vitalicious, which aims to solve that problem with its VitaEgg Flatbread Sandwich, which contains protein-rich egg whites plus the nutrients found in the yolk.
Each microwaveable VitaEgg Flatbread Sandwich contains a VitaEgg topped with cheese and veggies on whole-grain, high-fiber. The sandwich is made without preservatives or artificial coloring and is cholesterol-free and low in calories (120), fat (1.5 grams) and sodium (325 mg), with added lutein, choline, omega-3 DHA, all nine essential amino acids and 7 grams of fiber. The VitaEgg Flatbread Sandwich is sold in a box of two, is currently available online and is rolling out to retail stores.
