Ozone Solutions were on display in Atlanta, show casing their latest technology in disinfectant systems. The company uses equipment to create ozone, which is a powerful oxidant for disinfecting water which can then be used throughout the meat processing sector, offering a residual free method of cleaning and disinfecting, said Kaleb Jensen, marketing manager. “It’s much more powerful than a chlorine, and for two dollars a day you can get ozone into your water and that gives you a great microbial kill.”
The company was also demonstrating a new mobile ozone generator, which Jensen said was the most efficient system in the market place. As well as being used within water for cleaning, he said the system can also be used to help treat and clean waste water as well. Ozone can also be used to help control bacteria such as E.coli and Jensen said it was also capable of tackling other issues such as campylobacter when combined with other treatments.
