Packaging experts Tipper Tie were in Atlanta to showcase its TN4200 whole muscle packaging system, recently adopted by pork giants Tulip in its UK operations. The TN4200’s large breach makes it a versatile offering suitable for a wide range of meat products, said Shelly Ryder, marketing manager. She said the machine compresses and packs the muscle into a single plastic casing or netting, which is then ready for cutting or slicing. She said the machine was attracting strong interest from the US market. The company was also demonstrating its TTBag-S whole bird bagger, which can either act as a stand alone piece of equipment, or as part of an automated system, said Ryder, at a low cost price.
