Fruttare sources sustainable fruit
The strawberries, coconuts, bananas and limes in Fruttara Frozen fruit bars will be sourced sustainably by April, Unilever announced in March.
“Fruttara has begun sourcing sustainable fruit from farms that respect and protect the environment,” including strawberries from Western California, coconut from the Philippines and bananas from Ecuador, manufacturer Unilever says.
Unilever also announced in March 16 new “mouthwatering frozen treats” from 2015, including new flavors of Breyers Original and Gelato Indulgences lines and MAGNUM Ice Cream bars. In addition, it is rolling out two new stickless Klondike Kandy bars – cookie dough swirl and mint fudge cookie. Finally, it will sell in the Northeast packs of Vanilla King Cone, Chocolate King Cone and Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches from Good Humor along with Good Humor Girl Scouts Thin Mint bars.
