Whole grain confusion?
While IFIC research suggests consumers know whole grains are good for them and claim to be actively trying to consume more, the bakery aisle can be confusing, where shoppers are confronted with brown bread, whole wheat bread, whole grain bread and multigrain bread, and aren’t sure which is best, said Rebecca Lindberg from the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation.
"People are confused as to what whole grains are and what servings mean. In fact, many consumers are confused about whether they should be eating grains at all."
