Whole grain benefits: Where's the evidence?
Observational data indicates whole grains may lower the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer – as well as supporting weight management and digestive health. However, experts at the Whole Grain Summit disagreed over whether it would be possible, or advisable, to spend vast sums on intervention trials to back up the observational data.
