First, Back to the Roots co-founders Nikhil Arora and Alejandro Velez helped us grow our own gourmet mushrooms using recycled coffee grounds, and now they’re trying to disrupt the cereal category with new milk carton-shaped packaging that tells shoppers exactly how you can make the cereal at home.
And they’ve also impressed some high-profile investors, from Annie’s CEO John Foraker to Clif Bar CEO Kevin Cleary, who have given the firm $2 million in seed funding to help it accelerate product development for its Ready to Eat and new Ready to Grow products.
