Bittermilk makes “serious” cocktail mixers
The cocktail mixer category offers plenty of sweet, tropical and fruity blends – but Bittermilk’s mixers are for those who prefer drinks that are, well, bitter. The company uses unique culinary techniques, such as charring grapefruit peels and burning sugar, to create three “strong and serious” Old Fashioned style mixers and three “lighter and refreshing” citrus mixers, said Sarah Gottshalk, a company representative. “The idea is that the labor is in the bottle,” and consumers just add liquor, she added. The company also will launch this season a limited edition mixer – Gingerbread Old Fashioned, she said.
