Sonoma Flatbread launches pizza with organic ingredients
Jane’s Dough Foods new line of four 10-inch Sonoma Flatbread brand frozen pizzas launched at Expo East feature mostly organic ingredients in an effort to address consumers’ growing concern about highly-processed and artificial ingredients, which is a major factor in the slowdown of frozen pizza sales in recent years, according to recent research from Packaged Facts. The flatbreads feature organic meat and vegetables, but the aged provolone is not organic, because the company cannot source enough organic cheese to meet supply demand, a company representative said.
