Smaller packs drive initial trial
Sometimes smaller is better when it comes to driving initial trial of premium priced snacks because it lowers the cost barrier, according to a Navitas Naturals representative. He explained the company launched 4 ounce packages of its Superfood+ line, which combines superfoods with nuts and seeds, because the price point is lower and less intimidating to new consumers. Once they try the blends, they can still buy the larger, higher priced bags. The firm also launched a new line of coconut chips in three flavors: caramel, cacao and chili lime. In addition it added two flavors to its Power Snacks line: coffee cacao and lemon goldenberry.
