What keeps you awake at night?
For one, the flurries of creative business related ideas, which always make for late nights. Another is the sustainability of our entire supply chain. In the food space there is an inevitable trail of carbon that we will all leave behind. However, making sure that we take every step along the way to mitigate that impact is very important to me.
What trends are you tracking?
I have been seeing a major trend toward banana based or flavored items - bananas have never been hotter. The other trend that interests me is the resurgence of simple, healthy dried meat products like KRAVE, EPIC and others - taking back the jerky space and returning it to its simple roots without preservatives is exciting to me.
